FLOATING SIGNIFIER SERIES

After we remodeled out kitchen we had large qualities of plywood, panels, and old posts ready to be thrown away. I collected them and began a series exploring large format colors.  I was also working with optical illusion. The works are quite heavy, but I wanted to make them appear lightweight and floating away from the wall. Each piece is a mini construction project unto itself.
